About

Ellen Rosalie is a handmade textile brand created from screenprinted and digitally printed fabrics, all designed in Australia by me, Ellen Rosalie Gunner.

Having been born in Tennant Creek and lived my childhood in Alice Springs, the Red Centre is where I experienced a strong sense of Hygge (hoo-guh) – the quality feeling of cosiness and comfortable wellbeing.

Reflecting upon my cherished memories of Hygge, I create handmade collections of printed textiles and artworks that portray the time, feeling and atmosphere of when these memories were made, through the colourful and organic patterns, appealing textures and tactile embellishments.

I moved to Australia’s Capital in 2014 to study, and since graduating have decided to make Canberra my new home and am excited to see what new memories will emerge within my designs!
